The Automated Doll House

I'm doing a presentation on Home Automation at the 2010 Trenton Computer Festival (TCF) and this page will document my progress on the Doll House. At the moment I have the Kill-a-watt on order and I'll be using that as the power meter for the home. I want to us my Toshiba laptop (if I can repair the short in the fan control) as the home automation server. I've already got a nice Netgear WGT634U WAP as the Internet gateway/Firewall.
